Athletes eager to compete have already familiarized themselves with the local mountains and explored the various freeride terrain in the area before the competition begins. The reigning champions Maxime Chabloz (SUI, skis) Jessica Hotter (NZL, Skiing) and Tiphanie Perrotin (FRA, snowboard) will certainly give everything to repeat last year’s success. In the ski category it is also on strong premises such as Aymar Navarro (ESP), Abel Moga (ESP) and event wildcard Elizabeth Marina (ESP) to pay attention. Last year’s winners from Fieberbrunn also want to be part of the skiers Max Hitzig (GER) from St. Gallenkirch, who will start for Germany this season, and Valentine Rainier (AUT) from Mils have their say and hope for a successful start to the season. The former snowboarding world champion Manuela Mandel (AUT) from Vienna will unfortunately miss the first three FWT events of the season due to injury.
The health and safety of all athletes and staff is always the top priority of the FWT organizers and the FWT team has been working hard to prepare the competition track. Like all FWT events, the contest will be streamed live exclusively on www.freerideworldtour.com broadcast, with an easy-to-use replay option so you don’t miss a thing.
The live stream begins Sunday at 12:20 p.m. with the following starting order:
12:30 p.m. – Snowboard Ladies
1:00 p.m. – Men’s Snowboard
