Instagram: silent mode is designed to improve concentration
Now, Instagram is rolling out another feature giving users more control over their day-to-day use of the app – the so-called calm Fashion. Anyone who has it set will no longer receive notifications. Additionally, Instagram sends an automated out-of-office notification to the sender for direct messages. The profile’s activity status also changes to notify other users of the activation of silent mode.

In addition, the sleep mode is intended for the evening. As soon as the function is deactivated again, Instagram gives a summary of all missed notifications.
Function not yet available in Germany
For now, the new feature is only available in certain countries: United States, United Kingdom, Ireland, Canada, Australia and in New Zealand. However, work is underway to make the feature available in other countries soon.

Silent mode is not the only innovation on Instagram: for example, Explore content should also be hidden if a user is not interested in it.
