An exceptionally long wait is coming to an end!
Novak Djokovic is again the new, former world number one. With the triumph at the Australian Open, the Serb overtook the injured Carlos Alcaraz and notably left last contender Stefanos Tsitsipas behind. Because the Greek would also have taken the lead if successful.
Most recently, the ‘Djoker’ reached the top in the week of June 6, 2022. As of today, Monday, the 22-time Grand Slam champion is entering his 375th week as world number one.
