cross-country skiing:
Tom Emilio Wagner of SWV Goldlauter-Heidersbach from Thuringia has been nominated for the U20s (Juniors). Next U20 competitions: Thursday February 2, 7:00 p.m. (CET): 10K women (freestyle); 9 p.m.: 10 km men (freestyle); Saturday, February 4, 7 p.m.: Mixed relay 4 x 5 km women/men (classic/free). Among the U23 are named from Thuringia: Helen Hoffmann, Lisa Lohmann (both WSV Oberhof 05) and Jan-Friedrich Doerks (SWV Goldlauter-Heidersbach). The other U23 competitions: Friday February 3, 7 p.m.: women’s 10 km (free); 8:30 p.m.: 10 km men (free); Saturday, February 4, 9 p.m.: 4 x 5 km mixed relay, women/men (classic/free)
ski jumping:
The German Ski Association team includes Anna-Fay Scharfenberg (SC Motor Zella-Mehlis) from Thuringia. The competitions: Thursday February 2, 9:30 p.m. (CET): Individual women; 12:00 p.m.: single men; Saturday, February 4, 9:30 p.m.: Men’s Team; 00:00: women’s team; Sunday February 5, 8 p.m.: Mixed Team
Nordic Combination:
The nominees from Thuringia are Cindy Haasch (WSC 07 Ruhla) and Richard Stenzel (SC Motor Zella-Mehlis). The other events: Friday 3 February, 6.45/10.30 p.m.: Jumping and Gundersen 5 km, women; 8:30 p.m./11:30 p.m.: Jumping and Gundersen 10 km, gentlemen; Saturday February 4, 7:30 p.m./midnight: Jumping and mixed team 2 x 2.5 + 2 x 5 km.
