Halifax. (PM DEB) The German U20 national team lost 1:11 to the United States in the quarter-finals and therefore missed the semi-finals of the 2023 IIHF World Championship U20 in Canada.
Luca Hauf scored for the team around U20 national coach Tobias Abstreiter in this match. Moreover, the guardian Nikita Quappdefender Leon van der Linde and striker Veit Oswald were among the best German players in the tournament.

Of course, it’s a bitter end when you are eliminated in the quarter-finals, with no luck and almost no resistance. But I think the positive outweighs the negative. Of course, you could see very clearly that we are nowhere near following at this level against big nations like Canada, Czech Republic and USA and playing in a way that ultimately gives you a chance to win.
